Creating A Gorgeous Garden

Are You Planning To Make Gardening Easier?

by Tiffany Gonzales

Now that the end of summer is upon you, you might be looking back at the work you put into your garden. Was it worth it? Consider how many hours you spent cutting the grass and tending all the plants in your flower beds. While your garden probably shows the work you put into it, you may be thinking of ways that you can still have a gorgeous backyard while not making it a backbreaking enterprise. From selecting artificial turf to creating a stunning hardscape, here are some ideas that might help you.

Select Synthetic Turf - Have you ever seen a yard that has synthetic turf? It's always green! It's true that you might have to invest some serious cash into synthetic grass, especially if you have a huge yard, but the money you spend on watering it and the time you'll save is more than likely worth every penny that you spend on having a yard that looks beautiful all year long.

Synthetic grass is so easy to install that you might be able to do it yourself. If you're not comfortable with that, the place where you purchase it can install it so quickly that you'll probably be able to enjoy it the very day you have it installed. Synthetic grass is super easy to care for, too. You can use a leaf blower to clean it up, and you can hose it off when it's especially dirty, say after a heavy rain.

Include A Hardscape - Think of also including a hardscape as part of your landscaping. For example, rather than having all synthetic grass, select a portion of your yard where you can have flagstone or bricks as the foundation of that area. Consider replacing your flower bed with the hardscape. In place of having your plants right in the soil, think about buying planters of all different shapes and sizes. Include some pots that lay on their sides so that the flowers you place in them look like they're pouring out of the pots.

In addition, consider buying huge rocks and place some of the smaller pots on top of them. Do you have trees in your back yard? If so, consider hanging decorative birdhouses and faux ferns from the branches of the trees. Consider using a multi-layered water fountain or a beautiful statue as the focal point of your back yard.

About Me

Creating A Gorgeous Garden

I have always been someone who absolutely adores being outside, which is probably one of the reasons I decided to buy a home with a large lot. However, as soon as I moved in, I realized that yard work was a lot more challenging than I had anticipated, which is why I called in a team of professional landscapers. They were amazing to work with and got right to it, and within a few days, the yard was looking amazing. I wanted to create a blog all about creating beautiful outdoors spaces so that other people can help to beautify the world.
